Philips 22GA209 (another one) repair / restoration

Message par robertor »

Hello everybody.

first post here in this superlative forum and introduce my philips GA209.
purchased as non-functional.
I'm just a hobbyist but every now and then I manage to restart something.
this is the case of this TT to which I replaced the AC127 transistor, the electrolytic capacitors and part of the Philips / Mullard "Tropical Fish" (due to COVID I worked with what I had at home), the 1K trimmer that regulates the voltage of the power supply .
replaced the rubber rings of the pulleys and the belt.
added RCA connectors and ground connector.
turntable which adds to my modest collection.
"sadly" it is now in use with a Shure v-15 III which I don't think is the best with these turntables.
I will look for a Philips 400/401/412.

postscript: by spinning it, the plate hangs from the side of the arm.
probably(definitely) the rubber of the suspension are now at the limit of elasticity.
